{::Thirsty Thirstday::} Ginger Champagne Punch
Originally posted by Sherries Pritchard, Your Wedding Planner on 07/28/11Good morning friends!
We hope you're having an awesome week so far and are enjoying this break in the heat we've been having. If you're having a rough planning day today, today would be a great day to try something new like today's featured cocktail...it's tingly!
Ingredients: 1/4 cup each of sugar, light-color corn syrup, and water. 3 Tbsp of finely snipped, crystalized ginger. 1/2 cup of vodka, A 750-milliliter bottle of chilled champagneMix it up: Combine sugar, water, corn syrup, and ginger in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes uncovered. Remove from heat and stir in the vodka. Let chill for 4 hours (or overnight for Friday night cocktails). Strain the vodka mixture to remove the ginger then pour into a large bowl. Pour champagne down the side of the bowl into the mixture, stirring gently in an up & down motion.
Serve it up: Serve in champagne glasses immediately and ENJOY!
Try this recipe tonight with friends. It serves 8 and maybe consider featuring this cocktail at your wedding reception for a signature drink. I raise my glass to you and wish you a great finish to the week ahead.
If you need more ideas or have an idea you'd like to see here, please send us an email and let us know.
Cheers! Please drink responsibly.
