5 Steps to a Beautiful DIY Silk Floral Bouquet

By: Shaun Cox of  A D.I.Y. Affair Weddings and Events  (Guest Blogger)

Supplies:
  • First choose your favorite silk floral in a matching color pallet to compliment your wedding colors. Choose 2-3 different varieties of blooms.
  • Next you will need fillers. Fillers help to make your bouquet look full and give it movement through the use of various textures
  • Select your embellishments, you may choose to wrap your bouquet in ribbon, fabric, or a special keepsake such as a handkerchief from deceased family member. You can also finish off by adding a brooch or pendent to give it a special touch.
1. Gather your main filler in your hand or in a vase.
2. Add in your secondary filler. Place stems so that they are evenly arranged, giving the bouquet symmetry.
3. Add in your floral stems.
4. Wrap your ribbon around the base of the bouquet.
5. Add your finishing embellishments and you have a beautiful bouquet!
