If you enjoy eating your meals together at the dinner table and enjoying great conversation, then perhaps you should consider seating your guests at your wedding reception in family style.
Family Style Seating is one of our favorites because it’s a way for your guests to interact with each other on a rather intimate level by passing the food to each other and sparking up great conversation about it and other things. I’ve found that even your shy guest will open up when food is on the table. I know I do, how about you?

Another favorite reason to consider family style seating is the cost savings on décor. Since the food will be set on the table for passing around, simple centerpieces with a slim base would be best appropriate and less costly than dramatic centerpieces often considered for plated services. Or you may opt to use decorative food platters as your centerpieces such as bread baskets filled periodically with a never ending supply of bread.

Want to save on food? Of course! You can do that by offering your guests one meat option and many sides in your entrée as most families would do in their homes when serving up a meal for their dinner guests. It’s acceptable and budget friendly.
